About Us
Gracefully Guided was founded from a place of love, resilience, and legacy. The inspiration for our name and mission comes from my grandfather, Thomas Smith, who affectionately gave himself the nickname “GG” for his Great-Grandchildren. He lived with strength, wisdom, and grace, always encouraging others to walk with dignity, faith, and compassion. His presence was a steady reminder that guidance doesn’t always mean giving answers, but rather walking beside someone through life’s challenges.
Carrying forward his spirit, Gracefully Guided was created to be that same steady source of support for women and girls as my grandfather was for me. I choose to develop this non-profit as an honor to my grandfather by sharing the legacy that was passed down through me. We recognize that mental health struggles often go unseen, yet they shape our lives in profound ways. My mission is to ensure that no woman or girl feels alone on her journey toward healing.
- Founder & Executive Director Akheema Miller
At Gracefully Guided, we believe that:
Healing begins with compassion and connection.
Every woman and girl deserves access to emotional support and resources.
Empowerment comes from learning to navigate challenges with confidence and grace.
Through community programs, workshops, and partnerships with mental health providers, we create safe spaces for women and girls to be seen, heard, and strengthened. Just as “GG” poured into those around him, we carry on that tradition by guiding with empathy and care.
